DeBar Lodge - Duane, New York

The NYS Department of Conservation took over the property as scheduled on August 4th.  The Duane Parks Commission, Neil Seymour - Franklin County Tourism,Senator Betty Little, and Assemblyman Chris Ortloff all of whom insisted the property be protected and safeguarded. As a result, DEC Regional director Stuart Buchanan has assigned DEC personal 24/7, installed a barrier gate near the fishing access parking lot and erected signage as safeguards.  Efforts are underway to secure the proper classifications for the Town of Duane Parks Commission to obtain  "stewardship" of the 25 Acres and buildings.
